to 1 inch in diameter. They are typically purple
or blue in color

A spider vein is an abnormal vein that does

They are less than 1/8 inch in diameter.
Spider veins are typically red in color. They
may be blue or purple in color. Telangectasia
is the medical name used to describe spider
veins
Reticular veins
Reticular veins do not bulge the skin. They
are approximately 1/8 inch in diameter. They
range from blue to bluegreen in color.
